The Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium is situated in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu, India and was opened in 2020. It was established by the Salem Cricket Foundation with essential help from both the Salem District Cricket Association and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Measured at 90 metres (300 ft), the cricket ground is the largest in the state. In addition, it houses the Chennai Super Kings Academy that was opened by the team.
The stadium has five pitches, twelve practice-turf wickets, a player’s pavilion and press box. It is equipped with a drainage system that helps replenish ground water. Seating capacity stands at 5000, but can be increased to 25,000 for larger events. The Salem Cricket Foundation & Tamil Nadu Cricket Association developed plans for stands and parking facilities for spectators. As confirmed by officials, the stadium is expected to host Ranji Trophy, Tamil Nadu Premier League and Indian Premier League matches.
