Marrara Oval, also known as TIO Stadium under naming rights and previously referred to as Football Park, is a multi-sport venue located in Darwin, the capital of Australia’s Northern Territory. Opened in 1991, the stadium has a seating capacity of 12,500, making it the largest in the Northern Territory, though it set a record attendance of 17,500 during a 2003 football match featuring the Indigenous All-Stars. The ground primarily hosts Australian rules football, cricket, and rugby league and has been a regular venue for at least one Australian Football League (AFL) game each season since 2004 and one National Rugby League (NRL) game annually since 2012. Additionally, Marrara Oval has hosted international cricket events, including Test matches and One Day Internationals (ODIs), with the most recent cricket fixture taking place in 2008.
