Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground (St Augustine) – Pitch Report

The Sir Frank Worrell Cricket Ground, previously known as the University of the West Indies Ground, is located in Kingston, Jamaica.
The ground is situated on the campus of the University of the West Indies at Mona, which was established in 1948. Initially called the University of the West Indies Ground, it was later renamed in honor of Frank Worrell, a legendary West Indian cricketer. Under the leadership of Professor Hilary Beckles, the university’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, the University of the West Indies cricket team participated in the 2002–03 and 2003–04 Red Stripe Bowl editions. The ground hosted a List A one-day match in 2002–03 against the Rest of Leeward Islands and another match in 2003–04 between the Rest of Leeward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago. In March 2004, the ground was the venue for a first-class match between the University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s XI and a touring England XI, which the England XI won by an innings and 85 runs.
