Haslegrave Ground (Loughborough) – Pitch Report

The Haslegrave Ground, located in Loughborough, Leicestershire, is a cricket venue situated within Loughborough University, next to the National Cricket Performance Centre. It serves as the home ground for Loughborough MCC University. The ground’s first recorded match dates back to 1983, when Loughborough Students faced Exeter University in the University Athletics Union Championship quarterfinals. Over the years, it has hosted several prominent matches, including four Women’s One Day Internationals between 2008 and 2013, and six Women’s Twenty20 Internationals in 2012 and 2013. A single first-class match was played here in 2011 between Loughborough MCCU and Northamptonshire. From 2016 to 2019, it was the home ground for Loughborough Lightning in the Women’s Cricket Super League and has been one of the venues for The Blaze since 2021.
