  • The stadium has previously hosted the ACC Western Region T20 in 2019, as well as the Oman Quadrangular Series in February of this year. All matches held in both events were designated T20 International status.
  • On January 21, 2019, the Maldives played Bahrain in a Twenty20 International at this stadium, and Ibrahim Hassan became the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul in a T20I on this ground.
  • On January 23, 2019, in a Cricket World Cup match between Kuwait and Bahrain at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait’s Ravija Sandaruwan became the first player to score a T20I century on this ground.
