Is Bay Oval Cricket Ground Batting Or Bowling Pitch?
For bowlers, the University Oval cricket ground’s pitch report is delectable. This is a tiny venue with boundaries ranging from 60 to 70 meters in size, but the pacer will be pleased. This place is mostly low-scoring.

History
The ground was built in the 1950s. Northern Districts used it for List A games between the 1987/88 season and 2001/02, with 24 matches played there in the New Zealand limited-overs cricket trophy. Large holiday crowds flocked to the ground to see one-day matches during the 1980s and 90s, and New Zealand A played two matches on the ground against Pakistan A in December 1998. In 2004/2005, Northern Districts Women played two fixtures at Blake Park.
The Bay of Plenty Cricket Association established Bay Oval on the site in 2005, and it was completed in 2008. The Northern Districts women’s team played its first match at the ground in December 2007, and the first senior men’s game on the ground for Northern Districts was in the State Twenty20 competition against Otago in 2008. Since then, both teams have played there on a regular basis, with the venue holding its inaugural first-class cricket encounter in April 2015.
