Sportpark Westvliet – Pitch Report

HTML tutorial

The first recorded match at the ground took place in 2010, when Afghanistan faced Scotland in a warm-up game for the 2010 World Cricket League Division One, hosted by the Netherlands. Despite one side of the boundary being shorter than International Cricket Council regulations, the ground was approved to host One Day Internationals during the tournament. The inaugural ODI on the ground featured Afghanistan against Canada.

While three more ODIs were played at the venue, two additional matches had to be relocated due to concerns over the pitch’s condition. ODI cricket made a comeback to the ground in 2011 when the Netherlands hosted Kenya as part of the 2011–13 ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day series.
