Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, also known as ZAC Stadium or ZACS, is a prominent cricket venue located in the port city of Chattogram, southeastern Bangladesh. Initially named Bir Shrestha Shahid Ruhul Amin Stadium, it was renamed to Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in June 2001 by the Bangladesh Awami League government. However, it was briefly renamed Ruhul Amin Stadium in October 2001 during the Bangladesh Nationalist Party government’s tenure before returning to its original name in 2009.
The stadium became a Test cricket venue on February 27, 2006, when it hosted a Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It also hosted two group-stage matches during the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup. With a seating capacity of around 20,000, it remains a key location for international cricket in Bangladesh.
