North Bend is a town located in King County, Washington, just on the edge of the Seattle metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, its population was 7,461. Situated 30 miles east of Seattle along Interstate 90, North Bend lies in the foothills of the Cascade Range, close to Snoqualmie Pass.
Following the closure of Weyerhaeuser’s Snoqualmie sawmill, North Bend has transformed into a thriving residential area, serving as a bedroom community for nearby Seattle and Bellevue. The town gained international fame through its appearance in David Lynch’s iconic television series Twin Peaks, which featured several filming locations in North Bend. Additionally, North Bend is home to Nintendo North Bend, which serves as the primary North American production and distribution hub for the renowned video game company.
