The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is a public research university located in Richardson, Texas, and is the northernmost institution in the University of Texas System. Established in 1961 as a research arm of Texas Instruments, UTD is classified as an “R1: Doctoral University – Very high research activity.” The university has won four Nobel Prizes and boasts faculty members from prestigious academies, conducting research in fields such as Space Science, Bioengineering, Cybersecurity, Nanotechnology, and Brain Sciences. UTD offers over 140 academic programs and operates research centers across its main campus and several locations in Dallas, including the Crow Museum of Asian Art and the Center for BrainHealth.
