Newclose County Cricket Ground serves as the county cricket ground for the Isle of Wight, situated between Newport and Blackwater on the River Medina’s eastern bank. Home to the Isle of Wight Cricket Board, it hosts county finals, minor counties matches, and Southern Vipers out-ground fixtures.
In 2019, Newclose became an out-ground for Hampshire, staging a four-day match against Nottinghamshire. Hampshire also held one-day fixtures against Northamptonshire and Kent at Newclose in 2022 and 2023.
The ground was officially opened by Mike Gatting in 2009 and is also used as a venue for conferences and weddings.
